Makalolo Plains Blast from the Past!
Courteney Johnson, Wilderness Zambezi Operations Manager, recently discovered a dusty old Makalolo Plains guest book, hiding in the back of a store room at Little Makalolo.
The book was thought to have been destroyed in a fire many years ago, with the memories believed to have gone up in smoke and long forgotten. The book however, survived the flames, and has been locked away through the years.
The guest book is a journey of treasures, where guests took the time to reminisce – through words, drawings and paintings. The entries range from 1997 – 2007, with one of the guests being an artist from the Dr Seuss series of books!
