Shared Learnings In Rwanda

It has been a busy start to the year in Rwanda, where staff eagerly accepted the opportunity to share learnings and experiences between camps.

As the team at Sabyinyo continues celebrating joining the Wilderness family, everyone wants to visit as many wildernesses as possible. Two of our Sabyinyo staff visited Bisate this month for a few days; Fidele, our head farmer, spent time at Bisate with the agronomists who taught him a lot on reforestation, and Ernest, our Housekeeper, also got some additional experience at Bisate for a few days. They both had a good time and loved their days with the Bisate team.

The Sabyinyo management team also had the opportunity to visit a few neighbouring lodges, as well as the Twin Lakes, Burera and Ruhondo – known for their beautiful vistas of all five Rwandan volcanoes.

The shared learnings continued when Charles, our barman at Magashi, and Rachel, Magashi’s Trainee Manager, spent time during their annual leave at Sabyinyo.

Elie, our Assistant Manager at Magashi, recently visited Bisate, and Bosco, who is a waiter at Bisate, went to Magashi for a few days.

All of the staff thoroughly enjoyed meeting new colleagues and observing how each camp runs its daily operations. Great fun was had and many stories shared.
