Keith, Hadley and Simon, our formidable CEO, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief B2B Sales Officer respectively, recently travelled to Guatemala to attend the exclusive 2022 Forbes en Espanol Economy and Business Summit.
The forum brought together more than 60 speakers and exhibits from over 20 Latin American countries during the event held from 17-19 October. Keith also had the amazing opportunity to give a keynote presentation during the summit, which was attended by over 200 people. Focusing on Wilderness’ 40-years of Pioneering Conservation and Hospitality, the presentation was warmly received, with Forbes expressing their admiration for our work and impact we have achieved over the years.
Another highlight of the week was meeting with the president of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei, and sharing stories with him about our continent and Wilderness’ goal to double the amount of land we help protect by 2030. Time was also spent exchanging ideas and connecting with valued trade partners, including Carmen Maria De León and Leydi Penate from Viva Operador.
The team seized every opportunity to promote Wilderness and tell the media and other partners more about our positive impact model. They were interviewed on local radio station, La Red, as well as by Chief Editor, Maria Forcada, of Food and Wine México and Eladio González, Editorial Director of Forbes Central America and Dominican Republic.
As Hadley said: “It was a hugely successful trip, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to introduce Wilderness to Guatemala. Special thanks goes to our incredible PR & Sales agency, Alure, in Mexico, and to Matias Roca and Arantxa Lugo for making this happen”.
