Dominic Grammaticas
Wilderness Kenya Group Executive: Strategic Stakeholder Relations
With over 20 years in the Governors’ Group, Dominic takes on this exciting new position with Wilderness to further his vital role in strengthening the company’s business in Kenya, as well as nurturing and growing key strategic stakeholder relationships in the region.
Dominic has over 20 years’ experience driving conservation tourism in Kenya and growing the Governors’ brand and business. He arrived in the Governors’ MD seat over a decade ago, via a Zoology degree, a Chartered Accountant’s qualification, eight years within professional finance in London and Hong Kong, a pilot’s license and 15 years rising through the ranks.
In his tenure as MD at Governors’, he oversaw significant growth of the Group, the development of Governors Aviation and the company’s Rwanda operations, as well as the merger with Wilderness and the significant impact work Governors does in the community and conservation space.
Now that Governors’ is fully entrenched in the Wilderness family, Dominic is perfectly placed to move into this new role to continue building, maintaining and developing crucial stakeholder relationships, leading the company’s engagement with Kenya tourism industry and other local partners.
With his Kenyan citizenship, fluency in Swahili, extensive experience and strong regional relationships, Wilderness is confident that Dominic will drive this strategic part of the business to new heights; not only giving it the additional focus and attention it deserves to benefit Wilderness’ growth in the region, but also to promote conservation tourism to Kenya as a whole.
Dominic believes passionately in the future of integrated tourism and conservation organisations as the way forward for the industry as a whole, and can’t wait to guide Wilderness’ and Governors’ strategic relations to even greater success.
