Jacada Africa Team

Head of Africa Travel Design:

Maria O’Sullivan

Maria loves to explore new places. She’s always planning her next big adventure or impulsively booking an exciting break away. Africa is a continent that continues to wow her, and the East African charm that captivated her when she first visited Kenya will always remain.

Travel Designer:

Amie Larsen

Amie gravitates towards adventure travel, exploring and experiencing as much as possible by ‘getting lost on purpose’. Her friends say that she ‘lives life at 190km/h’. But you’ll find her just as happy admiring wildlife at dawn as you would find her paragliding from mountains.

Travel Designer:

Iain McConachie

Iain remembers his first incredible safari in Kenya clearly – a huge male lion walking past their vehicle within touching distance, cheetah hunting on the Masai Mara plains, huge bull elephants approaching them, and meeting the Maasai tribesmen to learn about their culture.

Travel Designer:

James Harris

James spent more than a year travelling the continent, culminating in a six-month solo drive through Southern Africa. He’ll never tire of introducing people to Africa, particularly Zambia, with its awe-inspiring Victoria Falls and breathtaking game viewing.

Travel Designer:

Jody van Merode

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Jody has lived in South Africa, Canada and very briefly Italy. Her favourite destination is South Africa, which she describes as the most beautiful and diverse country, with brilliant food and wines, and a fulfilling safari on your doorstep

Travel Designer:

Tor Saner

Tor’s love affair with Africa began over 20 years ago with a six-month adventure travelling from Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to the heart of South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains. She covered the continent in buses, sharing seats with chickens, babies and even a town mayor.

Angela Thomas

A Capetonian local, Angela enjoys exploring Cape Town and the Winelands, steering clear of the overly ‘touristy’ places. She’s all about warm days spent on the beach, early morning hikes up Lion’s Head, and great food and rich culture.

Charlotte Anyango

Charlotte’s love of travel began with family trips to Mombasa’s beaches on the Kenyan coast. Her favourite place is the Masai Mara because the experience each time you visit is different. She’s always anticipating her next adventure.
