About Wilderness Touring

For 25 years, Wilderness has operated specialist touring businesses in three central hubs perfect for safari circuits: Cape Town, Kigali and Victoria Falls. From these key bases, Wilderness Touring offers a wide range of full and half-day tailor-made excursions – from scheduled group tours to fully inclusive private touring. Additionally, Wilderness Namibia offers transfers and day tours to our guests wanting to explore iconic Windhoek and beyond.

We also offer a convenient transfer service, providing seamless travel between airports, hotels, and various activities, with a fleet of modern and comfortable vehicles. We have proudly spotted our newly branded touring vehicles on the road across our regions.

Out and About with Wilderness Touring Cape Town

Following on from the Wilderness rebrand, our ground operation team in Cape Town has undergone a name change from Private Journeys to Wilderness Touring Cape Town.

The Cape Town touring team operates from their depot in Salt River, Cape Town. With approximately 50 touring and ground transport services in and around Cape Town, the team works hard to ensure seamless travel solutions for our guests from arrival to departure, experienced the Wilderness way.

Most tours are centred on Cape Town, known for its eclectic culture, world-class foodie scene, Table Mountain, and trips to Robben Island. Further afield, popular tours include exploring the Cape Peninsula with its majestic views of the surrounding coastline, scenic coves and fishing villages; these are rounded off with a trip to Constantia, the oldest wine region south of the equator, or the spectacular Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Showcasing the best of South African food and wine and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, we visit the Cape Winelands daily. This is a popular trip, renowned for its French Hugenot and Dutch heritage.

Besides the touristy hot spots, our guests are also offered the chance to go shark-cage diving, hiking, horse riding and cycling. The Western Cape is soon to boast its annual flower season, which is a national spectacle that draws botanists and enthusiasts from all over the world.

No two days are the same with all the adventures Cape Town Touring offers our guests, who are guaranteed to depart with memories of a lifetime.
